1. How did Lancaster Homes get its start?
Lancaster Homes is a family-run business, established over 40 years ago by Adelino Ribeiro. The company and its dedication to quality is inspired by Adelino’s father and the many years he worked in the home-building industry
2. What’s the Lancaster team like?
The team behind the scenes at Lancaster Homes is a tight-knit, intimate group. We have worked together for a very long time, with some employees getting their start as much as 15 years ago. The inside joke is that many employees on the directory have the same last name, the closeness of our entire team reflects how we are a family of people, both related and non-related. We are all passionate about what we do and are thrilled when a community comes together.
3. What was the first community Lancaster Homes built?
The first community was in Toronto at Dufferin St. and Eglinton Avenue. It consisted of 14 homes where Lancaster was both the developer of the land and the homebuilder. Things have progressed in the years since!
4. What sets Lancaster Homes apart from other home builders?
We are exceptionally proud of the homes we build and in helping homeowners realize their homeownership goals. Lancaster is just large enough to offer competitive pricing but small enough to offer attention and care to homeowners and the homes we build. We pride ourselves on our reputation with homeowners in all our communities, with many of them becoming repeat customers as we continue to build in different communities across Ontario.

5. After a community is built, how involved is the builder?
After construction ends and homeowners move in, we remain committed to our homeowners and assist them with questions, concerns, and home maintenance. During the building process, we have members of the Customer Care team both in office and on-site that really allow us to show our dedication. We offer our homeowners assistance in understanding Tarion’s guidelines and with their new build to ensure they are pleased with their purchase.

7. What’s the best part about being a homebuilder?
Seeing a community come to completion is unlike any other feeling. It is amazing to witness how all the hard work and dedication of our onsite and at head office team comes across in a newly completed community. These are communities that are so full of love and life and ready for homeowners to begin their story.
